Veterans Standard Operating Procedure
Dear Viewer,
I am grateful you found this spot on the internet. If you’ve ever felt unsure of what to do next, overwhelmed by information, or left trying to figure things out on your own, you’re not alone.
The Department of Veterans Affairs system exists, but for many veterans, it doesn’t come with clear direction. There’s a lot to sort through, and not always a clear path forward.
That’s the problem this was built to solve.
This system didn’t come from theory. It came from real experience and from working with 100s of veterans, navigating complex systems, following regulations, and teaching others to make sense of processes that weren’t clearly explained.
Over time, one thing became clear: Most people don’t need more information. They need a way to work through it, a hand to hold as they go through the complex system.
That’s what Veterans SOP provides.
It gives you a structured way to move step by step, so you can organize your information, focus on what applies to you, and move forward without second-guessing every decision.
This isn’t about adding more complexity. Hopefully, it's about removing what doesn’t matter so you can focus on what does.
Veterans SOP does not file claims for you. It shows you how the process works so you can make your own decisions and move forward with confidence. We have five years of education experience behind us.
You’ve already done the hard part, asking for help...This is about making the next steps easier to follow.
All of us who served have to figure this out, and you don’t have to do it alone.
I hope what you find here feels like a friend and partner who truly helps you feel safe within the system.
With respect,
Lesslie

Veteran Sherman and I met in a homeless camp and became friends. He has been on the streets for 16 years and decided to stay. He taught me so much.

Veteran Rick Fowler, Vice President of Elite SDVOB, was both a mentor and a close friend. He provided over eight years of training in veteran government contracting.

Retired Master Chief Bob Mulz, Chairman of Elite SDVOB, served as a mentor during my time as his executive assistant in the nonprofit. Through that experience, I gained direct insight into veteran legislation and advocacy, including work alongside leaders such as Colin Powell.

David Kingsley, a World War II B-17 mechanic, inspired my lifelong commitment to serving the veteran community.
